Industrial valves and actuators we evaluate.
We buy qualified new, unused, and used surplus across major industrial valve categories. The pages below explain the identifiers, applications, brands, and condition details that support a useful purchase review.
Start with the closest valve family.
If the exact type is uncertain, send full photos and markings. We would rather help identify an item than base a quote on the wrong category.
Control Valves
Control valves represent complex, high-capital engineering assets designed to modulate dynamic process variables including flow rate, pressure, temperature, and fluid level. Because control valves combine pressure-retaining bodies, precision-machined flow cages, heavy-duty actuators, and digital valve controllers, surplus units maintain substantial secondary liquidity when accurately documented and mechanically intact.
Review this category 02 / Isolation valvesGate Valves
Industrial gate valves are the primary isolation workhorses across hydrocarbon transmission pipelines, petroleum refining units, petrochemical plants, and high-pressure steam distribution systems. Operating as full-bore on-off block valves, their secondary market value is determined by ASME pressure class, body casting integrity, wedge configuration, stem metallurgy, and manufacturer pedigree.
Review this category 03 / Quarter-turn isolationBall Valves
Quarter-turn ball valves provide low-torque operation, compact envelopes, and dependable bubble-tight shutoff across upstream oil and gas production, pipeline transmission, petrochemical processing, and utility services. From small 1/2" forged three-piece instrumentation valves to 36" Class 1500 trunnion-mounted pipeline valves, surplus ball inventory represents one of the most active sectors in industrial equipment recovery.
Review this category 04 / Compact flow controlButterfly Valves
Butterfly valves offer a compact face-to-face footprint, low total weight, and cost-effective quarter-turn isolation and throttling across waterworks, HVAC cooling systems, industrial processing, and chemical handling. The secondary market spans from high-volume resilient-seated utility valves up to precision triple-offset zero-leakage metal-seated valves engineered for severe thermal duty.
Review this category 05 / Backflow preventionCheck Valves
Check valves operate automatically to prevent reverse flow across rotating equipment discharge headers, compressor systems, and high-pressure process manifolds. Because check valves protect expensive centrifugal pumps, turbines, and compressors from catastrophic water hammer and reverse rotation, industrial facilities maintain strict replacement standards. We evaluate all industrial configurations in carbon steel, stainless, and specialty alloys.
Review this category 06 / Throttling and regulationGlobe Valves
Globe valves feature spherical body geometry with an internal horizontal partition and plug-style disc engineered specifically for precise flow regulation, throttling, and frequent cycling. Unlike gate valves that are restricted to fully open or fully closed states, globe valves provide stable fluid control across steam distribution, boiler feedwater, and chemical process piping.
Review this category 07 / Overpressure protectionSafety & Relief Valves
Safety and relief valves are the ultimate mechanical fail-safe devices protecting pressurized vessels, piping systems, steam boilers, and storage tanks from catastrophic overpressure. Governed by ASME Section I (Fired Boilers) and ASME Section VIII (Unfired Pressure Vessels), these precision mechanical instruments feature calibrated springs, precision-lapped nozzles and discs, and certified blowdown rings.
Review this category 08 / Severe-service isolationPlug Valves
Plug valves utilize cylindrical or tapered plugs with through-conduit ports to provide straight-through flow and quarter-turn isolation. Widely deployed across oilfield gathering systems, high-pressure cement manifolds, abrasive chemical slurries, and municipal wastewater treatment, plug valves are engineered for severe operational environments where conventional ball valves would seize or experience seat wash-out.
Review this category 09 / Automation and operatorsValve Actuators
Valve actuators provide the mechanical torque or thrust necessary to automate industrial valves, responding to signals from plant distributed control systems (DCS), safety instrumented systems (SIS), or emergency shutdown (ESD) networks. Because automation packages represent high-capital mechanical and electrical equipment, surplus actuators maintain strong secondary market liquidity.
Review this category 10 / Corrosive and clean-process serviceDiaphragm Valves
Diaphragm valves provide hermetic shutoff and isolate process fluids from the operating mechanism, making them indispensable in chemical manufacturing, water demineralization, pharmaceutical utilities, and acid handling. Because body linings, elastomers, and weir geometry represent the primary cost of the valve, surplus valuation depends heavily on documented metallurgy, lining integrity, and actuator specifications.
Review this category 11 / Slurry and bulk-material isolationKnife Gate Valves
Knife gate valves are engineered specifically for challenging viscous, fibrous, and slurry media that would quickly jam standard wedge gate or ball valves. Featuring sharpened gate edges that slice through settled solids, pulp stock, and mineral tailings, these valves are workhorses across paper mills, wastewater plants, and mining processing facilities. We evaluate manual handwheel, chainwheel, pneumatic cylinder, and electric motor-actuated units in all standard ASME and MSS configurations.
Review this category 12 / Pressure-management equipmentPressure Regulators
Industrial pressure regulators maintain precise downstream or upstream line pressure across natural gas distribution, steam heating, instrument air, and process vapor systems without external electric or pneumatic power. Featuring internal or external pilots, diaphragm sensing elements, and calibrated control springs, regulators are high-specification mechanical instruments that require thorough evaluation.
Review this category 13 / Steam-system support equipmentSteam Traps & Strainers
Steam traps automatically discharge condensate and non-condensable gases while preventing the escape of live steam across power plants, refineries, chemical processes, and district heating systems. Paired with high-pressure Y-strainers and duplex basket strainers, these components protect downstream turbines, heat exchangers, and control valves. We buy inverted bucket, thermodynamic disc, thermostatic, and float & thermostatic (F&T) steam traps in all industrial ratings.

What makes one valve different from another?
A valve category is only the beginning. Size, pressure class, materials, end connections, trim, operator, manufacturer, model, documentation, condition, quantity, and service history shape the reuse market. The more of that identity you can support, the less uncertainty a buyer has to price.
Never rely only on paint color or a handwritten warehouse label. Photograph the permanent nameplate and casting marks, then include any material certificates, purchase records, repair tags, or data sheets that can be matched to the equipment.
Read the identification guideHave valves collecting dust or tying up warehouse space?
Send the nameplates, a few wide photos, quantities, and the pickup ZIP code. We will tell you what is worth reviewing next.
